How to use Roku with HDMI port on TV?

Roku streaming devices works on any TV. Most Roku devices have designed to connect to your TV via HDMI port. Once you connect Roku to your TV, you will need to setup the internet connection. After that only you have to find movies and TV shows. 

To identify the ports on your Roku:
  • All Roku models have HDMI ports. USB ports are used to connect the HD TVs.  HDMI cables support both video and audio from your Roku to the TV and they provide the highest quality of image and video.
  • Almost all Roku models have an Ethernet port is used to connect your router. In that port looks like a larger phone line connection. Some old models used for only Wi-Fi connection.
  •  Older Roku models may have composite A/V (three prongs) connectors. It is a single port with a cable that splits into three prongs. You cannot get an HD image with composite cables.
 To find the connection ports:
  • You can use one of your TV’s HDMI ports.
  •  In your TV ports may be located at the back.
  • You'll need to find an older Roku that can connect via composite cables, or upgrade your TV to that has HDMI ports.
Reset a Roku:
  • You want to clear old settings before setting it up the Roku.
  • Plug the Roku into a power outlet.
  • Use a paperclip to press and hold the Reset button.
  • Now your Roku will clear all internal memory, now you set it up.  

Connect the Roku to the TV with an HDMI cable if possible 
  • If you have to connect AV cables, you have to match all the colors on the cable plugs of the connectors.
  • It can easily switch the correct input label on your TV connection.
  • Connect the Roku to your router via Ethernet.
  • Connect the Roku to a power outlet.
  • Insert batteries into the Roku remote. 
  • Turn on your TV and select the correct input and Pair your remote with your Roku. 
  • Select your menu language
  • Start the setup process.
  • Connect to your network.
  • Install any available updates. 
  • Link your Roku to your Roku com link account.
  • Create an account PIN to activate your Roku. 
  • Add channels to Roku com link using Channel Store.
  • Open a channel to start watching.
